Don't Miss the Cry of a Child

This weeks video is a story of a child's crying that went unheard and what happened next. The Rebbe, Rabbi Schneersohn obm, said this story is the motto of Chabad.

Mendel and I went to Queens, NY to be by the Ohel (the Rebbe's gravesite) on the Rebbe's 21st yahrzeit (day of passing). There were probably around 5000 people who came to be there for this occasion.

At one point I was thinking, Chabad is the Rebbe's project. He was the one who built it up to what it is today. It is all his vision and work. And I imagine the Rebbe watching everyone, with our differences, our shortcomings and our disagreements and I can not help but imagine the Rebbe having a lot of pleasure and pride, nachas. Because at the end of the day we are all just trying the best we can to keep the Rebbe's project alive. Each in our own way.

Shabbat Shalom,

Rabbi Yossi Friedman

Some people are like windows

I thank the Rebbe, Rabbi Schneerson OBM, for everything that I have. Because everything in our lives happens because of our beliefs and values. The ideas that get us out of bed and puts that spring in our step. And it is the Rebbe who has given that to me. So everything I have is thanks to the Rebbe and this weeks video is dedicated to him.

The inspiration for this video comes from this article by Rabbi Tzvi Freeman.
